Exams! (category: General)
Yep its that time of year again. The time when all us university students have to pay for our months of sex, drugs, and rock and roll with torturous cramming for nerve racking, headache creating, ulser inducing, exams. Also its the time of year when anyone who has ever graduated from college has a memory lapse about just how bad exams are.
For many of you (and me too) at WHRW its also time for engineer clearance exams. The clearance exam for apprentices or re-clearing engineers will be held on Saturday December 14th from 11am to 5pm, with a tech class (HIGHLY recommended for first timers) held the week before on Sunday December 8th from 5-7pm or thereabouts. All locations are TBA so this is just an early heads up.
If you cant make any of these times or just are too busy in these next few weeks to study for the exam don't worry. We are also holding the exam at the start of the spring semester.
Remember you need at least 4 hours of station service to take the clearance exam and at least 8 hours to request a show next semester. If you don't know what station service is or what you can do to get some ask any board member or e-mail me (GM@WHRWFM.org) as soon as possible cause if you dont have any you will be SOL come exam or programming time.
So apprentices how can you be cooler than your friends and get preped to pass the exam with flying colors? First: Ask your DJ about anything you don't understand. Second: Give one of the board members in the office a buck for an apprentice pack (its just what it costs to photocopy the things). It's everything you could possibly need to know about HRW in a convenient little booklet.
Have a nice Thanksgiving everyone.
